My name is Allie Morgan Slater. I am the lead designer/owner, and a freelancer with Poppy Weddings. I have been working in the wedding floral industry since late 2021. Originally from California, I began with a traditional education in floral design and competed in design competitions. I then worked under a wedding florist and various other florists for about two and a half years.
I moved to Indianapolis to pursue an education in entrepreneurship at Butler University so I could better serve my clients from the business side. Flowers have been my whole world for a very long time, and I have loved them ever since I was a little girl.
For me, designing wedding and event flowers is one of the most special things in the world because I believe in making memories magical and curating beautiful environments. Whether it’s adding a touch of color and life to an event or creating a bouquet that can be preserved for decades, I want every design with my name on it to be something truly special in your life—something you’ll remember.
The flowers for these moments are part of the biggest moments in your life! So, they should be big, bold, and beautiful. Floral design is more than a job or business to me—it is my passion and my art.
